Reiki Master Diane Lynn Gelinas has her
Masters in Social Work from Springfield College and her Bachelors in
Sociology with a Social Work Emphasis, from the University of Idaho
where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. In 1988, Diane received
statewide recognition as the recipient of the New Hampshire Chapter
of the National Association of Social Workers, "Student of the Year"
award. For over fifteen years she was
a hospice worker where she was able to utilize Reiki and Therapeutic
Touch to help clients transition during the dying process. Currently
she is a college professor, and has been adjunct faculty and
teaching for fifteen years at various institutions such as the
University of New Hampshire, Springfield College, and New Hampshire
Technical Institute. Her courses include, Psychology, Holistic
Health, Reiki, Social Work/Human Services,
Counseling/Interviewing Techniques, Gerontology, and Death and
Dying.
Her private practice includes a combination
of Reiki, Hypnotherapy, Motivational Speaking, Emotional
Freedom Technique, Workshop Trainer and Death
Education. She has been a Reiki Master
since 1995, training with Libby Barnett, M.S.W. and Maggie Chambers
(authors of Reiki Energy Medicine) for both Reiki Level One and
Reiki Level Two. Diane trained under Alana Hamel for her Reiki

Diane teaches Traditional Usui Reiki and also runs a monthly Reiki
Clinic/Healing Circle where complimentary treatments are offered.
Workshop participants are also afforded the benefit of her
additional knowledge in the field of holistic health, healing,
counseling and the mind - body - spirit connection.
Traditional cost of Reiki Workshops are lowered to make the
knowledge and process more available and accessible to people
interested in healing. Diane decided not to join the Reiki
Alliance so that she could reduce her tuition fees for students.
Diane became a Certified Hypnotherapist in
1999 with the National Guild of Hypnotherapist. In addition,
she has taken several workshops with Dr. Brian Weiss. Both
private, individual sessions and group sessions are available.
She is an author of an upcoming book,
How To Live A Darn Good Life that describes how she and
three other women moved out of their comfort zones and changes their
lives. Diane is an Ordained Minister with the Universal Life
Church and registered as a Rostered Alternative Provider in New
Hampshire. The Board of Mental Health practice has no
oversight over her practice.
Other interest and pursuits include
meditation, music, art, humor and pet therapy, and
motivational speaking.
Diane and her husband David live in southern New Hampshire where
they enjoy spending time with their dog, hiking, gardening,
bicycling, theater and music. |
