The Power Of Positive Thinking - Is There More To It?

Many of you have already read or have scene the movie The Secret.  It has powerful messages about the Law Of Attraction and how we can manifest our dreams and desires.  I highly recommend this movie and book as well as books by Esther and Jerry Hicks.  I also highly recommend that you view the movie or read the books more than once.  For most of us, it take repetition for all of the points to resonate and sink in.

For example, there is more to manifestation than just positive thinking.  We could think positive thoughts all day long and we still may not be manifesting what we dream and desire.  We most likely would be a lot healthy as thoughts are energy and our immune systems would function better.  However, there is more to "the secret" of manifesting than just thought.

Another important ingredient is to raise our vibration. Another way of stating this would be to watch your emotions.  Use your emotions as your primary guidance.  This is one of the reason why I love using and teaching others about  Reiki, Music, Pets, Humor, Emotional Freedom Technique and Hypnosis. They all make our lives so much more joyful and harmonious.  When we feel good and our emotional vibration is higher, we are able to attract things that vibrate on this higher level.  When I work with clients who want to lose weight with hypnosis, my first session with them is a consultation and we discuss the importance of using the conscious mind.  I ask them to see themselves as their ideal weight and in their ideal health.  We spend a lot of time discussing way to continue focusing on this image and getting joyful and exciting that this available to us right at this moment.  If we focus on the past and what we don't have, that is what we will manifest and we can't move forward.

Last but not least, the other crucial step is taking action.  We can think positive thoughts all day long.  We can be joyful and relaxed all day long.  But when the universe provides synchronistic opportunities for us to help us manifest our dreams we must take action and not ignore them.  It is important that our actions steps don't consume us though.  If we get too caught up in achievement and miss the journey along the way, we defeat the purpose. If you are trying to lose weight for example and following the Law of Attraction, you would be using your conscious mind to visualize yourself as healthy and you would be raising your vibration and mood.  What will then attract and appear more frequently in your life, are ways that you can take some action to achieve your goals.  You may "coincidental" meet an aerobics instructor, or hear about a weight loss workshop.  You would still have to join the class to achieve your goals, but you would be attracting to you things that would make you not only achieve your goals but fulfill you and make your happy.  So what you would attract would be the right exercise class.  A class that would be fun and something you would look forward to attending.  Action steps are crucial, but remember they should feel good and not like work.  Sometimes this may be difficult as there are many things that are hard to find joy in doing.  If you don't enjoy exercise but you enjoy people or music then you would attract a jazzercise class that would be perfect for your time schedule.  The universe is providing us with synchronistic opportunities, people and events constantly!  When we raise our vibration and apply the Law of Attraction they come at an even high frequency and rate.  The trick is to notice them and grab onto these opportunities.

  • How to achieve goals and take action step while at the same time maintaining balance, peace and harmony in our lives.

  • The importance of a personal coach and having a support system.

  • True life examples of how three women I coached moved out of their comfort zones and changed their lives.
