Let It Be

Last January I became a Karuna Reiki Master.  During one of the Reiki Attunements I had a vision  of Mother Mary and her message to me was "Be Still."  Implicit in this message to me I understood that I was to let things "just be."  The message was when I was surrounded by chaos this year I was to just find solace within as I usually have done.  I wasn't sure why I was being given this message at the time.  Although as the year unfolded and construction unfolded in my surroundings it sure has come in handy.  Also since I was not raised Catholic,  this image and this new Spiritual Contact has been such an unbelievable source of comfort and love. 

The reason I am writing about it this month is to share both a moving and rather comical story that occurred in August relating to Mother Mary and this message.   I was fortunate to have seen Paul McCartney at Fenway Park in August last month.  Mid way through his performance Paul got behind his piano and sang out the famous song I have printed out below.  I would like to ask that you take the time to read the words again.  I am sure you have heard them sung many times before, but they are so meaningful and so precious I don't think we can ever really hear or read them enough.  When I heard them sung this last time  I immediately remembered my Reiki Attunement in January and the message I had received during the attunement.  I was filled with awe as I didn't realize that this Lennon and McCartney song was the same message that I had received with my vision of the Mother Mary during Reiki!  Tears were streaming down my face as I was so deeply moved.  At the same time to the left of me, a rip roaring Boston fan, drunk out of his mind, was standing up, shouting out  the words to the song and swaying back and forth in the bleachers of Fenway Park.   The juxtaposition of these two images was rather hilarious.  After all, God does have a sense of humor!   See the words below in "Thoughts for the Month".  Enjoy and just  "Let It Be."
